Welcome to Scrumptious Orchard & Garden
We are a community supported agriculture farm (CSA) founded in 2020 in response to food security concerns resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic. We donate everything we produce to the Colton Helping Hands Food Bank (located nearby the farm).
Scrumptious Orchard & Garden (Scrump-OG) began operations in Colton, Oregon on land donated by the Simmons family. Twenty families helped found Scrump-OG, and the operation is sustained by members.
The mission of Scrump OG is charitable. Members fund the operation and everything produced is donated to a charitable organization dedicated to food security. Shares are available for the 2022 season; if you are interested please send us a message using the form provided. |

Frequently Asked Questions |

How does it work? The farm, which we call "Scrump-OG," uses the money provided by members to grow as much fresh vegetables as we can. We plan for a first harvest in May. We continue growing and harvesting through October. The vegetables are delivered and donated on behalf of members to the Colton Helping Hands Food Bank. We keep meticulous records of what is harvested and delivered. At the end of the season, we tally up what has been delivered to the food bank; each member receives a charitable donation receipt for everything produced and donated their behalf.

What else can I expect? At Scrumptious Orchard & Garden, we like to create opportunities for members to get out of the city and spend some time on the farm. We hold harvest parties and volunteer work events. For students who have to fulfill volunteer hours, Scrump-OG provides a great way to complete this requirement.
The fruits and vegetables we grow need to be amenable to the facilities of the food bank, so we stick to the basics. We do not plan to use any petro-chemicals to grow these veggies, however we do not plan to become certified as organic. If you have any concerns, just come out to the farm and see for yourself. You're welcome any time! Here is a list of the crops we plan to produce: |
